Baba est le point de symétrie de Marche Moderne, où les amants ralentissent leur course, balaient les réflexions, les urgences, et s'étreignent. Dans l’étreinte, c'est une herbe fraîche qui recouvre le territoire, et le libère de son histoire pour un instant. La pulsion charnelle électrise la rosée, guide les amants vers un plaisir affranchi. Elle articule une ritournelle élémentaire, chuchotée, au fond de coton et aux contours qui crépitent. Le thème vient du fond des âges, et s'envole tandis que la basse les retient au sol, où ils s’emmêlent irrémédiablement.

“Baba” is the centrepiece of Marche Moderne, in which the lovers slow their pace, abandoning their thoughts and sense of urgency. As they embrace, the earth is covered in fresh grass, freeing it from its history for a moment. The dew is electrified by carnal desire, guiding the lovers toward emancipated pleasure. A primitive, whispered tune emerges; it is comforting yet sharp around the edges. The age-old musical motif takes flight, as the bass holds the pair to the ground, where they are endlessly entwined.
